So, which one of the poems in my new book, Love and Lovers, has had the most positive reactions from readers? I’d like to share that poem with you today, but first, I’d like to share my comments from “two blog posts past” about my poetry writing process.
My poetry is . . . elusive. Fragments and phrases come to me at odd times and in odd places, perhaps when I am in the shower or washing dishes in the kitchen sink. And I have learned to stop whatever I am doing to write down that fragment or phrase right then and there. It’s interesting, though, that it might be days, weeks, months, or even years before that little fragment finds its way to the rest of the work where it belongs.
Maybe a few of these words will touch you or, perhaps, reach out and grab you. If so, I am even more pleased to have shared my feelings. If not, just accept them as one girl’s heartfelt experiences and leave it at that.
Just a thought …
Ginger, I love your poem! Thanks for reading it at the Kansas Authors Club meeting.
Thank you, Jim. I’m glad you liked it. I’m working on book II………. I appreciate your encouragement!
